Offshore Terengganu, 7 June 2025 – MTC Engineering Sdn Bhd (MTCE) has marked a key operational milestone with the successful completion of its first crude oil offtake operation on the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit MTC Ledang, located in the Jitang Field.
The FPSO MTC Ledang has been operating continuously at the Jitang Field for Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd since January 2020. MTCE officially took over operations and maintenance (O&M) responsibilities for the FPSO, the Jitang-A Well Head Platform, and the TNAG Offshore Well Facility from EPOMS Sdn Bhd effective 12 May 2025.
On 7 June 2025, MTCE executed its inaugural offtake operation, designated JTG 057, onboard the FPSO MTC Ledang. The operation was completed safely, on time, and without any demurrage.
A total of 200,174 net barrels of Jitang crude oil were offloaded onto the oil tanker MT Sapporo Princess. The cargo is scheduled for delivery to Kerteh Port in Terengganu and Sungai Udang Port in Melaka.
This successful operation marks an encouraging start for MTCE’s offshore operations team under its new O&M role and reflects the company’s focus on maintaining safe and efficient operations moving forward.
